David A. Cherry, born December 14, 1949 in Lawton, Oklahoma, is an American artist working primarily in the fields of science fiction and fantasy. He is an eleven-time finalist for the Hugo Award and an eighteen-time finalist for the Chesley Award, which he has won eight times. He was also one of the presidents of the Association of Science Fiction and Fantasy Artists.
