Barry Windsor-Smith, known as Barry Smith (London, May 25, 1949), is a British comic book artist and illustrator who has published his best-known work in the United States. His international recognition came as a cartoonist for Marvel Comics’ Conan the Barbarian, between 1970 and 1974, where he introduced his peculiar style, plagued by diverse artistic influences, especially those of the Pre-Raphaelites.
