Chris Moore is a British illustrator known for his science fiction art. He was born in 1947 in Hastings, United Kingdom. He has created cover images for works by many of the most famous authors in science fiction, including since 1998 some of nthe book covers for Orion Publishing’s SF Masterworks series.
His work is characterized by its vibrant colors, detailed backgrounds, and realistic depictions of technology. He has also worked in other genres, such as fantasy and horror.
Moore’s work has been praised by critics and fans alike. He has won numerous awards, including the Chesley Award for Best Interior Illustration in 1988 and the Hugo Award for Best Professional Artist in 1999.
